After a long Summer of kicking lessons in Tennessee, it is now time to watch my kicking clients perform this season. The financial investment it takes to do lessons can come back ten fold when the season starts.
Many high school and college kickers from the state of Tennessee are having lots of success this season. Brian Davis, a Brentwood High School graduate and current Arkansas State kicker, started the season of with a bang by hitting a 47 yard field goal at Illinois.
Corey Acosta (pictured above) had a great showing last weekend against Louisiana Tech. He stepped in for a starting kicker Danny Hrapmann and kicked field goals of 42 and 27 yards in a 19-17 victory. Corey stepped in during some adverse conditions and that is what being a field goal kicker is all about!
J.J. Jerman of Seymour High School has captured the starting kicking job for the Varsity as a freshman. He has been successful on all his extra points and has hit his only field goal attempt (30 yards). Also, he has had 3 successful onside kicks!
Finally, junior kicker Alex Sigmon (Tennessee High) has had the highlight of the year in the state of Tennessee by hitting a 60 yard free kick! Alex is having a fantastic season and this is the type of kick that could put him on a coaches radar.
These are just a few success stories of kickers that I have worked with this Summer. There are many other kickers out there that have attended my kicking camps in Tennessee or Tennessee kicking lessons.
I look forward to helping kicking specialists who need help during the season and I especially love to hear the many success stories!
