Being Coached and Coaching Others

During my career in kicking I have had a very different perspective than most kickers and kicking coaches because I have had the experience of getting coached and coaching others.

It has really been interesting for me because after my career at the University of Tennessee and my first attempt at PRO football I had given up my career as a kicker. I had decided that I was destined to be a coach and I was more than happy with that path.

What made me give PRO football a second thought was because of the experience I had received from coaching and the ability to have Coach Renner has my personal coach. This was a very unique situation and a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Everyone needs a coach. Even the best golfers in the world rely on Butch Harmon and Hank Haney to keep their swing in check. This is no different for kickers and punters.

As I continue on my Specialists Path I will be pursuing my dream of being a PRO kicker, but I haven't forgotten about my kicking business in Tennessee.

I love to help kickers and punters reach their goals of being successful at kicking. After I finish the free agent combine at the end of the month I will be coming directly back to do kicking lessons in Tennessee the next two weekends.

I am not sure how my path will go, but coaching will never be far away from my heart. If I was fortunate enough to play 10 years in the NFL I would still want to come back to Tennessee and do kicking lessons.

So as I chase my dream of suiting up for a PRO football team I still love the idea of coaching others on their path to that same dream!
