I could see that Jarod had a strong leg when he started to kick but I saw after 7 or 8 kicks that he has missed left, right, and some were made down the middle. Coaches want to see consistency so I went to work on making that happen. I worked with him on the One Step Drill and I tried to have him kick more down the field.
Jarod really started to improve on the One Step Drill the second day and we moved to kickoffs at the end of the lesson. By the end of the day he was kicking much more consistent and knew the things he needed to work on to improve.
If Jarod will continue to work on the drills he will see even more improvement. I believe he has a chance to have a very good season and I wish him the best of luck!
