I began the lesson by asking Ethan to kick a few balls for me. I wanted to look at his technique so that I could see what he does best and what he needs to improve. After watching six kicks I could see that Ethan was frustrated because he had missed a few kicks. I believe he was anxious to impress me so I talked with him about just talking a deep breath and to just kick the ball nice and easy. Once he started to relax he was just fine. The second day I could see that he had been practicing. He was practicing all the things we had gone over and looked like a completely different kicker. It was very rewarding seeing him improve! He was under control on his kicks and was hitting some really nice balls.
Ethan showed vast improvement over the two days he worked with me. I am looking forward to seeing his progress and if he continues to improve in the future like he did these past few days than he has a chance to be a very good kicker.
